Founded in 1829, UCT has a proud tradition of academic excellence and effecting social change and development through its pioneering scholarship, faculty and students. University of Pretoria  (Pretoria)
UP is the leading research university in South Africa and one of the largest in the country. The University has six campuses as well as a number of other sites of operation , such as the Pretoria Academic Hospital. Central administration is located at the Hatfield campus. In 1996, the University of Pretoria became the university with the highest research output in South Africa and have maintained this status.

The University of Pretoria offers more than 1800 academic programmes in two of the official languages, namely Afrikaans and English. (Some programmes and modules are offered only in English.)
The academic programmes of the University are offered in the nine faculties stated below, as well as a business school. The faculties comprise a total of 140 departments and 85 centres, institutes and bureaus.

Universiteit Stellenbosch  (Johannesburg)
Stellenbosch University is recognised as one of the four top research universities in South Africa. It takes pride in the fact that it has one of the country’s highest proportions of postgraduate students of which almost ten percent are international students.

The University lies in the picturesque Jonkershoek Valley in the heart of the Western Cape Winelands. The earliest roots of the University can be traced back to the 17th century when a beginning was made with regular school instruction.
University has since then grown into the internationally recognised institution of excellence it is today with more than 24 000 students, 800 lecturers and some 50 research and service bodies

The University has ten faculties, of which eight – AgriSciences, Arts and Social Sciences, Education, Engineering, Law, Science, Theology and the larger part of Economic and Management Sciences - are located on the main campus in Stellenbosch with the Faculty of Health Sciences situated on the Tygerberg campus. The Bellville Park campus is home to the Business School and the school’s Executive Development programme. The coastal town of Saldanha serves as the base for the Faculty of Military Sciences.
